Chandigarh October 11, 2023 (Bureau Report) In a drug case of 2020, the Punjab Haryana High Court today issued notice to Punjab Home Secretary, DGP and SSP of Sri Muktsar Sahib at 10 am on Thursday, October 12, for non-prosecution of police officers on time. Have been ordered to appear in the High Court at 12:00. Only one witness out of 20 has appeared so far in a drugs case of 2020. In the said case, the accused has approached the High Court for regular bail. Out of 20 police personnel, only one witness has been able to testify so far. Due to which the NDPS case is not proceeding properly. It is worth noting that the High Court has given instructions several times to get the testimony of policemen timely in NDPS cases. Due to which, Punjab Haryana High Court, expressing its displeasure, has today ordered Punjab Home Secretary, DGP Punjab and SSP of Shri Muktsar Sahib to appear in the High Court at 10 am on Thursday.
