Jalandhar :-(IPT bureau) Involvement of Rs 90 crore bogus bills ,a lot of firms have also started connecting Jalandhar, Ludhiana,Batala,Amritsar in Punjab. In a way, a huge racket of hundreds is going on. So far, the department has not officially confirmed. It is safe to say that there are a lot of fake bogus bill makers on their radar. They can be arrested at any time. There is no confirmation of people involved in politics.
It was discussed on Tuesday that such a huge racket continued for a long time due to the patronage of some leaders from Chandigarh to Delhi. The investigation revealed that the accused were falsifying fake GST bills by setting up a fake firm in the name of their relatives. According to the information received from the department, all these bills are being scanned with the latest technology. It is being ascertained whose signatures were on them so that they could be easily arrested.
A spokesperson of the department said that more than 100 fake companies have been identified. On the basis of which fraud is going on. The government is involved in tax evasion of crores of rupees. In Delhi, a team is trying to find out who the wires are connected to.
According to the department, there could be a bigger arrest soon. The department claims there is no political pressure on them. The department itself is completely independent. Everything is done according to the rules and legal process. No one is above the law.
The department has denied serious allegations of harassment against the department by the alleged perpetrator and his family members. He said that the department was doing its job in a legal manner. Such tricks are being used to cover up the crime.
