Gurdaspur resident Akashdeep’s car caught fire, killing him and injuring two others.

A Honda City collided head-on with a Blaeno. The collision was so severe that Blaeno’s car caught fire. One young man aboard the Blaeno died in the blaze, while two others were seriously injured. He has been admitted to Sector-32 Hospital and his condition remains critical. The deceased has been identified as Akashdeep, 17, of Gurdaspur in Punjab. He was a non-medical 12th grader. The severely burnt have been identified as Dilip, a tenant living in Baltana and Vishal, a resident of Pathankot. Upon receiving the information of the accident, the Industrial Area Police Station seized both the cars and registered a case against Rajneesh, a resident of Sector-28, the driver of the Honda City car.
As soon as the fire started, the car was locked from inside
At 3.15 am on Friday, Akashdeep, Dilip and Vishal Blaeno were traveling in a car from Sector-22 to Baltana. Vishal was driving the car, Duleep was in the seat and Akashdeep was in the back seat. As they reached Sector-28, 29 Light Point, their car collided with a Honda City car coming from Tribune Chowk. After a violent collision, Blaeno’s car caught fire and locked inside. Police personnel deployed at a short distance broke the glass and pulled out the youths in both the cars and rushed them to Sector-32 Hospital. The rear seat of the car caught fire and Akashdeep was completely burnt. After an examination, the doctors pronounced him dead. Vishal and Duleep were also badly burnt and their condition remains critical. The Blaeno burned to the ground and damaged the front of the Honda City.
