ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਇੱਕ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਮਾਡਿਊਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਮਰਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਅਮਰ, ਵਾਸੀ ਡੇਰੀਵਾਲ, ਥਾਣਾ ਤਰਸਿੱਕਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ 6 ਪਿਸਤੌਲ, 11 ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ, .30 ਬੋਰ ਦੇ 91 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਅਤੇ 9 ਐਮ.ਐਮ. ਦੇ 20 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

 

ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਹਾਲ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ-ਅਧਾਰਤ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।

In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Rural Police busts an illegal weapon smuggling module and apprehends Amarbir Singh @ Amar, resident of Dairiwal, PS Tarsikka, Amritsar and recover 6 pistols, 11 magazine, 91 live cartridges of .30 bore and 20 Live cartridges of 9mm.

 

Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused recently returned from #Canada and was in contact with #Pakistan-based smugglers.

 

An FIR has been registered and further investigations are underway to identify the other operatives, trace forward and backward linkages, and dismantle the entire cross-border smuggling network.

 

Total recovery in the case: 9 Pistols , 101 Live cartridges (.30 Bore), 20 Live cartridges (9mm).
